Summary
Lance's senior year was supposed to be easy. Yeah, taking four AP/Honors classes on top of doing swimming and marching band after school was going to suck a little bit and so was not having his sister/best friend Veronica there to help, but it was manageable.
Well, as if high school wasn't hard enough to survive just on its own, the five love letters Lance never intended to send are suddenly missing and turn up in the hands of the very people Lance never intended to send them to, Ryan (Veronica's ex-boyfriend) and Keith (Lance's ex-best-friend's ex-boyfriend) included.
In a moment of desperation, Keith and Lance agree to fake-date each other. Lance agrees so he can avoid talking to Ryan (and, more importantly, Veronica) about the letters. Keith agrees so he can win back Lotor (Lance's aforementioned ex-best-friend). Neither of them are telling the truth.
Keeping up? Good, cause Lance sure as hell isn't.

IMPORTANT: So I actually started rewriting this. I liked where it was going originally and this newer version doesn't deviate that much from what I had already posted, but I let the story sit for so long that I was unable to remember every little thread the way I needed to in order to write the story the way I wanted. So I started over, sorta. Really, it's not that different at all.

apparently today is the day that I write an a/b/o fic.“Come,” his voice cracks uncomfortably and he has to cough a couple of times to get his throat to work quite right. “Come in.”
The door slides away on silent hydraulics. Ryan stands on the threshold in comfortable sweats and a tattered t-shirt, and Lance feels his mouth go dry in, like, a nanosecond. They stare at each other for a long moment. It should be awkward, it probably is awkward for Ryan, but Lance’s higher brain functions have apparently made the executive decision to go offline without warning. The reality of what he’s asked Ryan to do—what Ryan has agreed to do—had already come down on him like a ton of bricks with all its terrible implications, but somehow, he’d managed to completely forget the good implications.
Namely, that he’d be able to get his hands all over all of that.

the mfe pilots, and members of the garrison are part of a scientific marine research vessel that studies mermaids mainly and other marine life. the come across a unique pod that was dubbed voltron. it consists of pod of mismatched types. usually mermaids stick to pods of their own kind. the pod is attacked by poachers and the group has been given permission to collect the pod for emergency veterinary care and possible relocation. however things don't go very smoothly.
