Summary
“You’ve never… been with another woman before,” Mac said slowly. “I’m your first.”
“That’s right,” Rosie said, furrowing her brow slightly, unsure of where this particular train of thought was leading.
“Yet you’ve always been remarkably… at peace with the fact that you’d fallen for a woman after a lifetime of attraction to men,” Mac continued. “I’m glad for that,” she quickly clarified. “It’s just… that it surprised me, I suppose. It’s not something I’ve experienced often.”
Mac is curious about Rosie's easy acceptance of her queerness, but the explanation involves a secret that isn't hers to tell.

Summary
Jack Robinson didn’t know what he was thinking. Truthfully, he hadn’t thought things would go this far or last this long. He thought she would be bored after a time, unfulfilled by the simple things that brought him so much joy. He wasn’t the kind of man to make grand gestures of romance. He liked days at the shore and home footy games. He thought his girlfriend wanted more from life than that. And yet, Rosie Sanderson remained.

Summary
“Rosie!” Mac exclaimed, her voice just a hair too loud and slightly slurred.
“Hello, love,” Rosie said, amused, laughing when Mac climbed clumsily – albeit eagerly – onto her lap. “Did – mm – did you have fun?” she said as Mac pulled her into a sloppy kiss.
Mac comes home drunk and affectionate after a night out.

Summary
“Are you seriously out at a club, and instead of getting laid, you’re swapping poetry with your Detective Inspector?” Mac asks, her face snapping into a wild grin as she throws her phone back.
“His name is Jack, and who's to say I won’t get any tonight?” Phryne snaps back, the need to prove her wrong almost as strong as her blood alcohol content.

Summary
Rosie was leaning casually against the counter, a steaming cup of tea in her hands and a mischievous smile on her face as Mac felt a sudden rush of arousal spread through her. Rosie was wearing Mac’s missing shirt and nothing else, the white fabric doing little to actually cover her body considering the extra few inches in height she had on Mac. She’d left all but the middle button unfastened, and Mac’s gaze trailed hungrily down along her torso: over the line of pale skin that disappeared underneath the shirt, the long fingers holding the cup of tea in front of her stomach, the tempting patch of dark hair between her legs, just barely visible beneath the fabric…
In which Mac is very turned on by the sight of Rosie wearing her shirt and nothing else.
