Extending him a military contract to facilitate the war effort, the U.S. Army nationalized a Russian chemist as Alan Carey. Carey's martial contributions afforded him a place in Sanctuary Hills's Vault 111, but when the threat of Total Atomic Annihilation™ shepherds the vault into use, he wakes to find he's the only one of its inhabitants who survived the freeze to which none of them consented--if he can even call it surviving. With the end of the world already so far behind in civilization's past, he struggles to find his place again. (Update 2019.07.08: I finally got around to fixing the Kara/Carey errors from the early chapters.)
Arc I: First Instar--Lexington and Concord (Ch1 to Ch33). Arc II: Second Instar--Lowell (Ch34 to date). Estimated minimum of five Instars.

Reese has been denied her one dream due to the paralysis of her legs; her Pokemon journey. She gave up on the idea of crossing the rocky terrain on Hoenn on her own, but her mother, Jody, wouldn't give up. She set up the chance to escort her wheel-chair bound daughter through her journey, along with the young daughter of Norman and the scientific mind that is Professor Elm's son. Even an asthmatic boy joins their little caravan, on their way to push past their limits and take on challenges together that were unsurmountable alone.
Join Reese, Jody, May, Brendan, and Wally as they all support each other and Reese fights for her dream.

Nemo D'Vidas, my OC is currently leading the Inquisition and they are out travelling when she sees a falling star. That's actually a crashing space-ship.
This is how she meets Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon for the first time, but certainly not the last.
