    Summary

Faramir Took dreams of adventures and quests, and longs to be part of the great tales and songs like his father is. When Pippin tells him a new story about the mysterious Ent-Wives, Faramir decides it would be a good adventure to go looking for one, and drags his friend Gorbadoc Brandybuck along with him. The only problem is, their quest leads them deep into the Old Forest, a place all hobbits fear to speak of. Their adventure will test the limits of their friendship and their courage as they fight to find their way home.

    Summary

"There is a possibility that danger may come from outside the Shire," Gandalf said, "and that it will come seeking Frodo. I do not know what form it might take, but if it comes, Frodo must not face it alone."
“... Something from outside the Shire? Like out of Mr. Bilbo's tales...?” the Gaffer asked. He was bewildered by the wizard's fears but he didn't question them. He knew the old conjurer was wise. “Well sir, of course we won't abide any harm coming to our master, but I'm an old hobbit gardener. I can't see me doing much good...” the Gaffer stopped and peered up at Gandalf, silent for a moment, “Tisn't about me your speaking...” he stared a moment longer, feeling a cold dread fill his belly, “You want my Sam, don't you?” he asked softly. Gandalf nodded slowly.

Frodo's friends conspire to defend him against strange accidents and dark figures drawn to Bag End. As the world gets darker, Frodo and Sam find themselves growing closer. Set a year before the Journey.

    Summary

“For things are made to endure in the Shire, passing from one generation to the next.” – Fellowship of the Ring
Hobbits are not what the others races believe. Crafted by the Valar and blessed with inherited magics called knacks, Hobbits have been ensuring the peace between the Free Peoples for a long time. No one else knows and Hobbits are content to keep it that way. However, years ago Shire life was disrupted by the marriage of Gerontius Took to Adamanta Chubb, originally known as the dragon Arradeth. Years later Bilbo Baggins is paying the price of being an odd hobbit, having inherited both Took and Baggins knacks along with his grandmother’s blood, and is the only one of her line to also have a dragon form. Now Gandalf the Grey is once again in need of a hobbit for an adventure and Bilbo must decide. Should he accompany the wizard and his group, face a dragon, and risk revealing Shire and family secrets? Or does he abandon his people’s sacred purpose and allow a stubborn king to send part of Middle Earth into war? Not to mention that if Bilbo does go he risks not only his life, but losing his dragon Heart to a band of suicidal dwarves. Either way, the choice of Bilbo Baggins may rule the fate of all Middle Earth.

    Summary

Hobbits, being the smallest of the free races and less inclined toward violence, knew that they would be at great risk from dark or greedy forces. So, the Hobbit leaders banded together to create a plan. The plan was domestication. Let the other races think them like animals. Dogs, Cats, Birds and others have been cared for by the taller folk with only companionship and love as the exchange. So why not Hobbits as well? After all, what is more comfortable than having food, shelter and protection provided for you?

For ages the Hobbits have been considered creatures of comfort. They are the most versatile animals in all of Middle Earth. They can cook, sew, clean, be trained to guard livestock or even read small words. They are great judges of character and once one has been chosen as their family they instantly achieve positive social status. Most importantly though, Hobbits are the greatest companions that love unconditionally.

And Thorin will find one for his nephews if its the last thing he'll do.

My collection of one-shots involving the Hobbit characters and the reader, based mostly on imagines and prompts I find (and may be given). These are usually too short to be uploaded on their own.

Leafs tumble from the tree tops. Some are caught in the wind and brought far off places. Others land upon the earth and become brown and dead. A series of Hobbit oneshots for the ideas that refuse to die. (refer to each chapter for warnings and summaries! All my dwarven words are from the wonderful Dwarrow Scholar, blessings upon him. These ARE Adoptable so long as we are informed and credited of course. WE WANT TO READ THEM)

    Summary

“How dare you undermine me, you cannot just give it to the Lake men, I forbid it!” Bilbo did his best to look unbothered which just made Thorin angrier. “Am I not the King?” he snarls and Bilbo prays to Yavanna for strength at what he is about to do next.

    “No you’re not.”

Even the air seemed to still at Bilbo’s words.

“What did you say?” Thorin asks lowly, eyes darker than they’ve ever been, expression twisted with malice though he has never looked at Bilbo that way before, certainly not recently. A part of Bilbo mourns silently for the potential those looks had held.

“You’re not the king,” Bilbo straightens his shoulders and reaches his hand down into the pocket where the proof is stored, pulling out the brilliant gem and holding it out for all to see. ”…I am.”
