If Crowley believes something works in a certain way, it has a habit of ending up just so for him. Crowley firmly believes there really is a Witchfinder army coming to rescue him and Aziraphale, led by the illustrious Major Saucepan. Since there IS no Major Saucepan, this will turn out to be quite the surprise for both Sergeant Shadwell and, indeed, Major Saucepan. Pure nonsense.
