Summary
After being turned against his will at a young age and witnessing the pack that turned him get destroyed, Ace made a vow to never join another pack least he get hurt again. No matter how dangerous it was for a wolf to isolate themselves he wouldn't let himself experience that again.
It was sheer stubbornness that lead him to avoiding all other werewolves and finding an unclaimed town. Too bad the world's strongest pack's territory just so happened to cut off just west of the town. but that shouldn't be a problem for Ace... Right?

Of all the places they could possibly have landed, Sabaody was one of the worst.
At least Alexia figured out when they were pretty quickly. Problem is: they have a 19-year-old Captain who's crazy protective of their 14-year-old First Mate, who is their only lifeline in this crazy world they're stuck in. Whom has just decided they should try get to East Blue while pretending to be some sort of Theater Group.
Oh, and they're over a decade before canon. The fledgling crew is not at all confident in their survival.

“Especially stories about magic gems,” Ace agrees, and settles himself onto the deck in a tailor seat with the other crewmen who’d been listening to scary stories. “Magic gems are everywhere. You wouldn’t believe how many there are, ugh.”
“Know a lot about magic gems?” Haruta asks, slithering out of the shadows next to Ace and flopping sideways across his lap.
“You’d be surprised,” Ace says, and they both turn intent eyes back to Crewman Jimnez, who clearly cannot handle two Commanders casually joining story time.
