Summary
Purpose, the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists, a persons resolve or determination. Some understand theirs from the get go, or search for theirs desperately, few get the luxury to deny theirs, and very few get to completely devote themselves to it. By Dazai's definition a purpose was a reason to live or a means to an end and to be honest he never really had one. Each time he thought he did it was only temporary.
He thought he might find it in the shadows under the carnage of the Mafia.
What he didn't expect was to find it in the lively person by his side and their undying loyalty, as they rose to the top painting their way in shades of Mafia black.
Well at least it seemed like his only purpose at the time, but time has a funny way of unraveling the truth.

What if Oda was once part of the pm but his death was not his resignation, what if something completely different happened to spark the chain of events that happened leading up to what we know as BEAST in this slightly different version from when Dazai and Chuuya were 18 told mainly from Chuuya’s perspective as Dazai slowly seems to spiral out of control and drags a somewhat willing Chuuya with him. -
