He has since spent an inordinate amount of effort making himself as invisible as possible so that he doesn't feel responsible for the medical bills of people walking into walls. And to avoid the embarrassment of people flirting at him. Yuuri doesn't flirt, doesn't know *how* to flirt, doesn't know what to do when other people flirt at him. It's humiliating. But, when Phichit gets them invited to a week-long charity event where he has to live with a bunch of other skaters, his efforts to go unnoticed get a lot more difficult. Especially with Victor Nikiforov around.

The boy on the black and white horse had braided his horse’s mane, each little braid finished off with a tiny bow. He said something that he accentuated with a wild wave of his hand, causing his riding companion to burst into laughter. And Victor’s knees nearly buckled with how sweet a sound it was.
The rider of the black horse was beautiful, kissed by sunshine as he threw his head back and laughed. When he raised his coffee to his lips and took a sip, Victor honest to god felt a flash of jealousy towards a disposable paper cup.

At the Grand Prix Final in Sochi, Victor Nikiforov seriously injured his right knee after the free program. Victor is helped by Yuuri Katsuki, a young man wearing a black and blue jacket from Japan and who came last in the competition.
Meanwhile, Yuuri Katsuki is resting after taking medicine to deal with a panic attack. Not only did Vicchan die and he came last in the competition, he also witnessed his idol being attacked by someone in the bathroom he was and had to help him somehow.
This is how their story happens, from now on.
