Her name is Nyx, her abilities are related to the night (hence the myths of the goddess of night) she can manipulate shadows/darkness but also some stuff with other aspects of night like stars.
Here's a blurb that always helps me decide if something is worth reading:
Charlie splutters behind her something that sounds like oh my god you know the pretty people.
Nyx stands up as Sersi stops in front of her and then they’re hugging and true warmth washes over that cold place in her, in her heart. Still not quite perfect but a lot more than Ikaris could comfort her.
“Your lecture was wonderful,” Sersi says and Nyx closes her eyes. She’s not going to cry.
“She’s right,” Sprite says as the girls break apart, “it wasn’t half bad. Not even boring.”
“Well, I’ve studied stories and storytelling since I can remember. I’d say even from some of the best.” Nyx responds honestly and smiles at the slight blush that rises on Sprite’s cheeks and pinks their ears. Her eyes return then to Ikaris who is watching Charlie over her shoulder.
She turns, dragging her new friend forward, “Charlie, meet my friends from college.”- Language:
