Summary
There was a hand on his back, softly rubbing a soothing pattern against his shoulders. Zuko flinched away from the touch as much as he could while his stomach rebelled. It wasn't enough and the hand stayed where it was.
It took a few minutes before he was able to stop dry heaving. When it was clear that nothing else was going to come up, Zuko rolled himself fully back onto the sleeping bag. His head hurt, it hurt a lot. Usually, his head felt fine after sleeping but today his brain felt expanded in his skull, pushing up against the inside and mashing all the squishy bits together.
He wanted to get up, wanted to get away from whoever was tucking him back into the warmth of his sleeping bag. He whined low in his throat as the hands nudged his arms into the bag, the sound leaving his throat with a rasp. His eyes weren't focusing on anything, which wasn't out of the norm for his left side, but his right eye was fine. He should be fine. He was fine.
(He wasn't fine.)
“Are you okay?” A deep voice asked.
(Zuko becomes a middle child, everyone is horrified by the new information that comes to light, and Hakoda wonders who he has to kill to make this scarred boy happy.

Summary
“What Katara hated more than the walking, was the flies. She had heard once from a refugee, who claimed to have been a Professor of Natural Science before the world ended, that beetles were the most common life form. She imagined now it had to be flies.
Big fat angry black flies that bit at any exposed skin, tiny flies that swooped at your ears and dug into your hair, generations of flies that had only known an excess of rot in a new world order of death.
She would be killed in these woods, she often thought, summoning the undead while slapping herself like she was ringing a dinner bell.”Set in the Earth Kingdom 12 years after the first outbreaks of a virus that descends the ATLA world into a zombie apocalypse. Zuko and Katara are forced together to survive in an unforgiving landscape of hostile monsters, human and zombie alike.

Summary
After the events of War Crimes, Sokka and Zuko have escaped Zhao’s warship and are fleeing across the Earth Kingdom. As well as unfamiliar terrain, they have to navigate their shared trauma, work out where they fit into the war, and their place in each others lives.
Sokka is aware that being friends with the enemy is going to bring complications, but he probably should have guessed that being friends with Zuko in particular, was going to be a bit like dunking your head repeatedly into a bucket of angry Fire Ferrets.
Katara is also grappling with the confusion of befriending an enemy, something that doesn’t prove as difficult as she had expected with the bond of shared, furious grief bridging old wounds. (Learning a new way to look at her bending doesn't hurt either)
Azula, struggling with the Fire Lord’s mistrust, encounters a few nasty surprises and has to make some difficult decisions. Luckily, she is a great deal better at making sensible choices than her brother.
Her father may have made a slight tactical error.

Summary
Zuko, being raised in the world of lies and secrecy that was the Fire Nation palace, knew how to spot a scheme a mile away. That didn’t always stop him from falling for them, especially Azula’s, but he did usually know when something was up. He’d fallen for so many of his father and sister’s traps before. But he wasn’t going to fall for this one.
…
Zuko realizes his Father’s cruelty in sending him after the Avatar way sooner than he does in canon, and because he is thirteen years old and a drama king to boot, he takes inspiration from his mother’s old plays and becomes a vigilante instead. The Fire Nation soon learns to fear the Blue Spirit, while Aang and company are both intrigued and suspicious.
Just a quick note here, don't be scared of the Major Character Death tag or the Implied Rape/Non-Con tag, neither of them happen to any main characters, nor are they very graphic. Rape does not happen on screen, it is only ever referenced.
I don’t own these characters, they belong to whoever owns Avatar: the Last Airbender.
Anyways, enjoy!

Summary
Sokka had only had to get Zuko and Suki on working together terms in this prison, not so hard! Yet here he was, Zuko and Suki were patching things together oddly well, Jet was seemingly back from the dead, and a random firebender had just dropped himself into Sokka’s plans rather rudely. He had mere hours to work out a plan and get everyone off this cursed volcano. No one had ever escaped before and here he was all of 15 years old and thinking himself better than every person in this place. What could he see that they couldn’t? Not a Tui and La blessed thing and he was admitting it now. He was going to be the reason Suki and Jet stayed, and possibly worst of all the reason Zuko was just handed back to the Fire Nation on a golden platter.

Summary
The man’s voice once again broke him from his thoughts; “In my dreams I see them tortured by Fire Nation soldiers. I see my entire culture wiped from the South, our footprint upon the ice shelves gone as though we never existed, our connection with the spirits and our ancestors forgotten.” He was silent for the briefest of moments, then, “You’re Fire Nation, aren’t you?”
Zuko rolled onto his side, facing the wall, scar pressed into the arm that cushioned his head. “Once, maybe.”
“Answer me this, then; when will this war see it's end?”
Zuko, recalling the fire that had burned in Azula’s sunlit gaze the day she’d caught up to him, chose not to respond.
