"It turns out we were part of a social experiment television show. We had our minds partially wiped and our memories replaced with false ones. The Walkers were those who hadn’t fled the country before the Great War. The remaining governments of the world came together to try and decide what to do with the United States since it was unlivable. They needed a distraction for the people; they were worried that what happened to the US would happen to the rest of the world. We were all chosen at random, at least a thousand of us at one point. They wiped the memories of our lives and our knowledge of the Great War and replaced them with what we thought was real. But it’s over now.”
