It's been a year.
A year since WCKD was destroyed and we were rescued. A year since we were all separated and sent to our "real families". A year since we learned that every bloody thing we did and thought... was a lie. A year since I've seen Tommy.
So here I am. On a bus heading to Beacon Hills, where Tommy was brought back to live with his father.
I just have no idea if he's even still here... or if he wants to see me.

Life felt like death. By all means, he was alive, but without Newt beside him, he was dead inside. What was life without him?
When violently thrust back in time to the Glade, Thomas realises three things. One: Everyone was alive. Two: He was going to save them, save them all. Three: Newt looked good. Like, really good.
But he didn't like Newt. Not like, like. definitely not, like, like...
Thomas is engaged in a race against time, fighting to keep them, and himself alive. And fighting for his love.
Harbouring a crush (it's just a crush, totally) is a little difficult while fighting off what feels like the entire universe.

We all stood in silence for a bit, Tommy thinking over Minho's answer. I looked up at the huge mass of rock in front of us, brushing my hand along the ivy. This bloody wall that those people created and stuck us in here, if I ever meet them then they'll meet my full fury. I've been here for three years, we still hav'nt found a way out yet. Yet every day the runners go back in, hoping they'll find some sort of passage or clue to getting us out of here.
But they still hav'nt, and I'm starting to doubt we ever will get out of this bloody maze.

Summary
Newt loves his sister more than anyone else in the world and without any doubt or hesitance, he would trade her life for his own if he ever had to. Unortunately, this is not an option, and when Sonya is suddendly faced with an unknown disease and doctors who aren't able to help her, Newt finds himself lost in helplessness and tainted memories.
Still, he knows that he will do everything in his power to help her. Any distractions are out of the question, which becomes a problem when Sonya's nurse, a cute brunet with a kind smile, happens to cross his path at the worst times.
