Midoriya saw a hand, attached to an arm that disappeared between a chunk of concrete and a fragment of a desk. Then he saw a pinky ring that looked exactly like the one his mom wore since he had gotten it as a gift for her at a school festival in elementary school. Breath choked up in his throat as the feeling of needles pricked his scalp and gut. He gently pulled the debris out of the way piece by piece using his quirk until only her hair and the rest of her arm peaked through. As well as a glimmer of red. I can’t do this.
Broccoli Cinnamon Roll's mom dies, leading him to question his faith in society, even the heroes that were his foundation for so long. Once he is taken captive, how long until he breaks? Will Izuku make it out safely? What will he lose in the process? Izuku's life has fallen apart. Things can never go back to how they were before, and it seems like he never will, either.

Kai Chiskai rubbed the bandaged bump on his forehead, contemplating how he ended up here. He, a 20-year-old mediocre college student, took a nap and woke up in the body of the yakuza leader. Was truck-kun too busy? Or did he reincarnate just by sleeping? Oh no! Don’t tell him he died of exhaustion!
Ok, stop! More importantly, why did it have to be the body of an anime villain that didn’t last for an entire season? Chiskai wanted to cry, he didn't want to lose his arms.
How in the world is he going to avoid his bad ending?!

Toshinori Yagi sniffled and reached for a kleenex from the dispenser on his desk.
“Summer cold?” Shouta said, stuffing his hands into his pockets. “Better not get me sick.” He was half joking, but he eyed his colleague apprehensively.
Anxiety over the health of his coworker was not an infrequent occurrence for Shouta these days. It hadn’t been long since he’d learned about the condition of Toshinori’s body--or what was left of it--and he was finding it difficult not to worry about him.
Of course, it didn’t help that he’d been pining after the big blond idiot for months now.

It was night time, and the moonlight beautifully reflected off the water, giving it a soft glow. The tide was coming in, and he vaguely thought that it would sweep him away if he stood too close to it.
He hoped it would.
