Summary
Remus didn’t hate Sirius, and Sirius didn’t hate him, at 25 they were far too old to hold onto such trivial high school things. The problem was that after everything that happened back then they weren't friends either, they were strangers who shared a group of friends. And now they were sharing a house.
Where James and Lily need a house sitter, Remus is a teacher who has the summer holiday free, Sirius is a musician in need of a roof while he's in London, and the marauders have fallen apart due to some falling out Remus and Sirius had a few days after graduation.

“So… you’re going to what, learn how to play the drums really really fast?” James smiled at how ridiculous that thought was.
Sirius however was not joking in the slightest when he said “Well first I have to buy a drum set.”
