Ryou wasn't real. He'd been his imaginary friend—his imaginary boyfriend if he were being honest. He was his beloved dream and his nightmare all wrapped into one.
But if Ryou was here, if Ryo was real, that changed everything. That meant everything they'd done could be real too.
"Ken?"
He blinked, clearing his vision to stare into Daisuke's worried eyes, a warm chocolate that normally reassured him.
"You okay?" Daisuke frowned, pursing his lips as he gripped Ken's shoulders and pushed up on his tiptoes to try to look into his eyes better, as if he could see into Ken's soul. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Ken thinks Ryou was his imaginary friend, so when Ryou appears out of nowhere, everything is suddenly too real. Desperate not to let Ryou think he still has feelings for him, Ken says he has a boyfriend—his best friend...Daisuke.

Taichi had no idea why he was even still surprised when he woke up in the Digiworld without a warning. At least he knew what he was supposed to do, right? Beat the bad guy, save the day.
Turns out it's not that easy this time around. With all his friends gone without a trace Taichi will have to do with a bunch of other kids he doesn't know, who are used to leading a group of their own, rather than follow command.
Finding all of their friends in a Digiworld that isn't quite right will be a bigger challenge than they could ever anticipate.
