Summary
Feeling he’s in a rut with the Jackals and stung by one of Suna’s accurate barbs, Miya Atsumu rashly accepts the opportunity to play for a foreign team. Rash, as he'd never had any yearnings to play abroad, and also because his talent for volleyball far exceeds his linguistic ability. Part of it, he tells himself, is because he has a thirst to try something new but there's another part which stares at Shouyou's texts and photographs from Brazil and wonders.
So ... he signs for the Paris Chanticleers, and now he's in a country which boasts gourmet food, when he aches for the first rice of the season. And with teammates whose idea of conversation is firing questions about anime at him.
Shuffling down a Paris street, after a row with the team, he follows a scent in the air, rich, sweet, warm and delicious and is half horrified/half amazed to find himself face to face with the proprietor of a niche chocolate shop.
“Tendou? Tendou Satori?”
He smirked. “Miya-Miya Atsumu, I wondered when you’d find your way here.”
