Bakugou Katsuki, at his core, was born to be a hero.
It was fairly obvious, after all: he had the best quirk (not that anyone could ever forget, he hadn’t stopped receiving compliments after it first came in), he was the best at at everything in his class (the others were just extras compared to him, and he always won (just like All Might, just like a true hero).
Some people, like Katsuki, were just destined for greatness.
Others, like Deku, just weren’t.
But now Deku’s the hero, and Katsuki... isn’t. He’s not the best anymore, so what is he?

Bakugou faces consequences for his bullying, willingness to place others in life threatening danger, and suicide baiting, and starts down the road to self discovery and healing that will eventually make him a better person.
