“What’s going on?” Romani finally asked.
“You’ll see.” Merlin hummed next to his ear.
Next thing Romani knew, his hand was grabbed, and he was lead away. He didn’t have the faintest idea where to. It felt like they were headed through some kind of labyrinth with all the twists and turns. He made sure to hold Merlin’s hand firmly, positive that he’d never find his way back if he got lost somehow.
“All right, we’re here.” Merlin said right before he let go of his hand. “Now for the big reveal.”
Romani kept his eyes closed as the mage untied the blindfold and pulled it away from his face. There was an extremely pleasant scent in the air. Sweet, floral, something he’d buy in a candle version for sure. He opened his eyes and blinked as they adjusted to bright sunlight. When they focused enough for him to take in the scene he was awestruck.

Though the Shadow Border isn't large enough to house a huge number of servants, they are at least able to make space for Oda Nobunaga, Mr. Fujimaru's sweetheart.
