Summary
More than anything else, David wants to believe he's not sick because that means he isn't crazy. It means he can fall in love and live happily ever after. But if he surrenders to that hope and he's wrong, then there's no coming back.
The Shadow King is victorious, but the battle for David Haller’s soul has only begun. David fails to escape Division 3's intervention and is forced into therapy. With his relationships ruined, his mind split, and his past a lie, death seems like the only choice left. But Farouk is pulling the strings to keep him alive. As David's friends and family work desperately to save him, David must reclaim his past and present to avoid losing his future to the monster who destroyed him.

Summary
When I started writing this collection of Oliver-and-Cary-as-childhood-friends AU stories, I thought “How does Melanie fit in?” But I’d already started writing “A Strictly Scholarly Collaboration” and I couldn’t see THAT happening any other way. The question really became, “How would CARY fit into THAT story, if he and Oliver were already friends?” And so, as I wrote both sets of stories, I kept writing these bonus scenes— the scenes that would tie the origin-story-of-the-future-Mr.-and-Mrs.-Bird and the Childhood Friends AU together.
Although coinciding with Oliver and Melanie’s romance, these scenes are more about the burgeoning friendship of they-who-shall-become Summerland-Generation-One: what happens when Oliver has a sensible friend to talk through his new experiences (and be a good wingman), and when Cary’s around to experience Oliver’s wild pre-Melanie years in the first place; how Melanie gets the wrong end of the stick about Cary, repeatedly (it’s a many-ended stick); and Kerry, well, is Kerry! (I will continue to regret that Oliver and Kerry never got to actually interact on the show. What a waste of great character chemistry!)

In Which I retell Chapters 6-8 from the POV of my babies, the Loudermilk Twins. "A lot of Kerry’s memories were fuzzy, but she clung to the sound of Mama’s voice in her head, ran it on a loop over and over: no matter what happens, you’ll always have each other. So where was he now when she most needed him?"

Summary
Origin story.
When Melanie is employed by a suspect institution in the wilderness, dreams begin to blur into reality. It swiftly becomes apparent that a darkness haunts the building, whether it be the foul intentions of the faceless men behind it or a shadowy entity lurking around every corner. There are secrets to be uncovered, friends to be made, and an establishment to be dismantled - but why, and for who?
Melanie will learn just how little of the world she knows, because sometimes, nonsense makes more sense than truth.
