I'm bored, I don't have energy to devote to my WIPs, and a shockingly dead-on prompt in the Three Sentence Ficathon on DreamWidth has brought this to the forefront of my mind again, so:
I'm afraid it's time to share the Greatest Terrible Thing I have ever written.
This is the product of me pulling a series of writing prompts over a decade ago in effort to get writing again. It was meant to be For My Eyes Only. I don't mean to suggest that Peter Jackson's Middle-Earth movies were a drug-smuggling front, nor that the Mythopoeic Society is anything but an academic committee, nor that my friend Emily has an Aslan-in-a-Bucket.

Oswald Cobblepot is the King of Gotham's underworld. He has a club that's well frequented by outlaws and people of the night, he has allies, what more could he want? He thought he had everything until he met a curious and strange man with an appreciation for riddles.
