But this isn't their story. Not as we know it.
This is the story of a timeline where everything shifted, slightly. Where they all attended Atlas Academy, for better or for worse. Where their roles get shifted around.AKA, a Canon-divergence AU in which our favorite Atlesians are put through an emotionally draining development, scattering where they end up by the time team RWBY is formed. May/Winter/Cinder role-swap concept, and I threw Marrow in because I really like him. This will be depressing as hell, and it will segue into a fic about team RWBY, in this mirror world. Each character's past is changed slightly, but enough to make a difference.

“Amity’s fine, honey.” Her dad finished. “Maria and I landed in the tundra, and Atlas sent ships to pick Amity up.”
Penny’s eyes slowly moved down to the hand over hers - or rather, the hands, as her dad’s hands were handcuffed together with the same purple gravity cuffs.
Which meant -
“We are… back in Atlas?” Penny whispered, praying it wasn’t true.
Her dad, however, nodded.
(OR: Ironwood's plan succeeds, and Atlas flies away to safety. However, there's just one loose end left, and her name is Penny Polendina.)

Set in a universe where most core concepts of Geass and RWBY co-exist, where the Empire of Britannia has conquered nearly half of the globe, and where Lelouch probably won't suffer such a trauma conga-line as the story progresses. This is designed to be a full story, so technically can be read without watching one of the works, or both, but I mean why wouldn't you?

The fall of Beacon didn't kill Ozpin after all, instead the secretive headmaster was rescued by his inner circle. Even with his life saved, the fall created new problems and made some of the old return with vengeance. Thankfully there are many hopeful souls to reintroduce stability to the world, none more so then members of Ozpin's inner circle, Ruby and her friends as they make the journey to find help so that they can finally have the answers to Remnant's most guarded secrets. Whether they will be strong enough to overcome that which was not be ready to be discovered, only time will tell.
