There is a Masquerade party coming up for all of Françoise Dupont, hosted by Chloé Bourgeois and being held at her Father's hotel. It will be very fancy but luckily Marinette has made the perfect dress and mask to wear.
One problem. She doesn't have a date and all of her friends do.
Ever happy to help, Chat Noir comes along and aims to wingman Marinette into asking out Adrien Agreste. Much to the confusion of himself and his feelings for Ladybug.
But all does not go to plan when Marinette starts falling for the wrong guy!!

Ladybug/Marinette had been dead for 10 years. 10 years in which the superhero group of Paris was led by Chat Blanc, always fighting against HawkMoth and Mayura. On the evening of the 10th anniversary, Chat Blanc finds a stranger in front of his Lady's grave and begins to get angry because on every anniversary, he and Reina Rouge were the only ones who could visit the grave. The stranger took fright when she saw Chat Blanc and left. Who was she ? And why was her face familiar ?
The young stranger was a simple tourist visiting paris. She saw the city as in the photos and decided to settle there to work as a waitress. One evening when she couldn't sleep, she took a walk in the town and was intrigued by Ladybug's status in Place des Vauges where there was a name engraved with two dates, one of birth and another 10 years ago. These thoughts were interrupted by seeing a man dressed as a Chat all in white jump up next to her and ask her (in his most polite way) to get the hell out of there.

“He likes you,” Chat says, and her lips part to squawk a protest -like she does every time he says Adrien likes her- but he steamrolls through the sentence before she can. “And you’re his friend.”

After almost 6 years after Monarch's defeat, Marinette is given the chance to meet with all of her old friends bringing up a lot of old, forgotten feelings.

Canon Divergent after Season 3
The main difference is that when Marinette becomes the guardian, she decides never to give out any more miraculous because 1. All of her friends’ identities are compromised and 2. After the drama with Lila, her relationships are pretty strained with all of her friends as it is, and 3. she has become generally less trusting and more of a shut-in now that she is the guardian and in reaction to accidentally compromising Master Fu. The story starts on the three-year anniversary of Stoneheart, and both Adrien and Marinette are 17 years old and entering the last year of lycée (because the ages in the show are confusing and I make the rules here).
