Another world was precisely the reason the golden-eyed boy- a boy no older than 18 to the day, was waiting in this endless sea of suits and echoing footsteps. Waiting for a face to match a name within an ocean of the opposite all around him. Forgetful conversations and tired words filled the air as everything appeared to ignore the boy who stood still in the center of it all. There were no eyes filled with concern or confusion, much less interest, directed to the child in the heart of the bashing waters. What else could he be but a child? There was nothing else for him to be.
That was his reason for being here. He would be more than a child. More than a simple prodigy. The words of that man rang out in his head, the one from the show that his sister loved to watch so much.
It's just that even a prodigy becomes a normal person once they're out of their twenties.
