Summary
Zuko realizes his destiny much earlier. As in, as soon as he wakes up in the palace after his Agni Kai and is told he is banished. Unfortunately, he's never been a patient one. So he storms right up to Ozai and tells him what he's going to do. And gets locked up for over three years. Then, one day, he's being pulled out and told he's the new Fire Lord.
A "Zuko never meets the Gaang and suddenly becomes Fire Lord after three years of literal torture" AU. In which the Gaang doesn't know what to think of this new Fire Lord who happens to be the missing nephew of Aang's firebending teacher, Iroh is misunderstanding a few things, and, sure, maybe the world hates the Fire Nation, but the Fire Nation LOVES Zuko, and he can work with that.

Summary
( This is very cringe) Zuko is loyal. At least, thats what he tells him self. But despite that, he has a secret. One that he can't tell anyone, not even his Uncle. Honestly, its hard for him to even understand! But, it's just another part of Zuko's life you know. When his enemies, his lover, and his family start getting suspicious, Zuko much decide what side he's on.
Or, Zuko has a split personality, and he doesn't want that to show. Sometimes, other sides take over. So this whole story is just Zuko trying to stop people from finding out is secret.

Summary
He’s given up the embroidery again.
He doesn’t even try to pretend he doesn't miss it, but he’s still given it up.It’s sort of symbolic, in his mind anyway. It stands for all the things he
doesdoesn’t want to be.
It’s not like he even needs it, there’s no longer any need for him to work, and there’s plenty of things for him to do at the palace. Firebending training for one.His fire has been stronger recently, the inner flame stoked to an inferno. It’s burning him up, the constant heat, and taking it out on the wooden targets helps a little.
(Even if he’s sure that stitching would give him more of a relief ).
Or: Zuko revaluates his life choices in a number of high stress senarios

“We are still friends, right? You are my friend, my true friend?"
“What happened?”
“That’s my council. They… they want me to marry.”
“So?”
“So, I beg you to help me to choose.”Or just another silly story about awkward Zuko and his 'true' friend Mai, who cannot refuse to help him.

Summary
It had been a while since things had gone Azula's way. Then Ba Sing Se fell, taking the Avatar with it, and Zuko was back where he belonged: firmly under her boot heel.
Except, with no warning at all, he suddenly slipped out from under it like an eel-hound.
She didn't understand how it could have happened, or even how Zuko's sudden attitude problem even worked.
Somehow, Zuko was now free from hers or anyone's control, and Azula could only watch in horror as he set about bringing her whole world down.

Summary
Running a country is hard. Especially when 90% of the people living there hate you. But Zuko’s not a quitter. He’ll make ends meet. After all, he’s got nothing left to lose.
It's got its tense moments, but this is actually something of a comedy. Zuko struggles to adjust to life after the war, and when life is hard, what else is there to do but laugh?
Set almost 10 years after ATLA. Canon-compliant to ALTA (mostly) but not the comics or LoK.

A little scene I decided to write on. What if Azula loves Zuko (not in the incest way). What if she left ozai with zuko during the day of black sun.

After Zuko’s Agni Kai against his father, Iroh never trained with him again.
Iroh does his best to help his nephew recover from the wounds his father had left on him. And while he knows that some might never fully heal, Iroh sticks with Zuko through the years, supporting him with unwanted proverbs and superb tea.
This story follows Iroh through the journey he takes with Zuko as he goes with him into exile and becomes witness to (and sometimes the trigger of) his worst decisions, best mistakes, and, ultimately, growth. -

Summary
The war has changed. In the days of Sozin and his daughter, Fire Lord Kazue, the Fire Nation fought with armies and warships and brought the world to its knees. But Kazue saw that the war was unsustainable. That they were going to lose. So she taught her son peace. She showed her firstborn Azulon how to reach a stalemate, how to end the war without letting anyone know they had lost. This is your legacy, she promised him: remaining a global power without shedding any more blood.
Fire Lord Azulon cooled down the war, but people still fight. The world is no longer a warzone, a multicultural city has sprung up on Fire Nation conquered lands they've ostensibly given back to the Earth Kingdom. The Four Nations live in peace, but a charged wind blows throughout the world. Everyone with a nose can smell sulfur, can tell the half-brokered peace is a powder keg. This world is unsustainable, something will set it alight
The war has changed. It's traded armies for intelligence; small groups of highly skilled individuals fight for their Nation in the shadows. People like Sokka and Suki, who are about to rip the Fire Nation a new one and trick these sons-a-bitches into giving up all their intel.
Or so they think.
