    Summary

My 2022 resolution is to write one Jane Austen fan fiction per day, no matter what happens. I hope to publish it after it's done; but in the meantime, I'll post here, since not everyone would be willing to buy work from an unknown.

These stories will usually be short, take place during the Regency/Georgian era, and will (mostly) be connected to something celebrated on that day of the year. There will be crossovers between Austen's works, canon divergence, even some supernatural themes (e.g. for Halloween). I have many of the days planned out, but may ask for ideas from readers when I'm stuck.

I can guarantee that unless dead or stuck in hospital for more than twenty-four hours, I will post something, even if it's only a few hundred words long.

    Summary

When the house in Camden Place has a delay in availability, Sir Walter and Elizabeth opt for a visit to his other Elliot nephew. The same Elliot and his Lady whose cottage near Dartford, Robert Ferrars spoke so highly of. This tale follows the train of consequences of two of Ms. Austen's more unlikeable characters finding a kindred spirit in each other. Many larger changes for our beloved favorites come from this one meeting.

A crossover fiction covering characters from Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Pride and Prejudice.

    Summary

The year 1796 sees England as a scandal-ridden country. Forced marriages are all too common, fathers of young ladies make sure to always have a marriage license ready, wealthy gentlemen make sure to never be alone in a room with a female, not even their own mothers. In the county of Hertfordshire, for example, no fewer than 78 % of the newly-wed couples give ‘to avoid a scandal’ as the main reason for their marriage (compared to 43 % in 1785), a recent survey showed.

Dire times force the British government to enact drastic measures, and Elizabeth Bennet is forced to seek out the education of a chaperon in order to comply with the new laws.

The first meeting between Elinor and the erstwhile Lucy Steele after their marriages was every degree as ridiculous as the former had supposed it would be; and yet, much less awkward than she had at times feared.

    Summary

This was unstable ground, Elinor thought. All the country hereabouts was riven with slips, revealing the soft clay beneath, the clay, and old strange stones, the sea lilies and the snake stones, that taunted God with their unfamiliarity. Up above on the Pinny, she could see the buried remains of a landslide greater than them all, now covered over with green stuff, trees and shrubbery hiding the savagery of the land’s scream.
