Summary
Everything was fine, until it wasn’t. That sentence could sum up Jon’s entire existence, but was definitely true now. One minute they were washing their hands, gently scrubbing soap over their scarred hands, the next the overpowering scent of lavender hit their senses. They suddenly stopped being in Daisy’s safehouse and were instead in the dimly lit room under the House of Wax in Great Yarmouth.
***
Jon encounters an unexpected trigger when they arrive at Daisy's safehouse. Featuring Best Boyfriend Martin, some snuggling, and graphic descriptions of Daisy's interior design choices.

Summary
There was no knife, no blood, and Jon was not dead. And when he heard a strangled noise from beside him and looked over to see Martin standing in the doorway of the safehouse, flung open and letting in the frigid bite of near-winter and sunlight, there was sunlight, he felt such a dizzying, intense wave of relief that he could hardly breathe around it.
Then, he opened his mouth to say Martin’s name, and nothing came out, and all of the relief fell away in an instant.
.
Jon wakes up in the safehouse in October of 2018, alive and well but without the Eye and without his voice. In the days that follow, he finds himself confronted with a world that has reset itself in space and in time, a version of himself that is no longer the Archivist, and the fact that death during the end of the world had not been so permanent as it had seemed.

Summary
It was loud on the train. That wasn’t true, exactly - they had boarded just after midnight, and the hush of early morning had settled over the carriage soon after. The only noise was the rumble of the wheels, the rush of Jon’s breath (slow and even, as he’d fallen asleep not long after they boarded), and the faint, tinny sound of music spilling from another passenger’s headphones. It was, by all reasonable accounts, not a loud train carriage. But it was still too much.
Everything was too much. Martin hadn’t realized how much the Lonely had muted things - muffled sounds, dulled colors, kept emotions always at an arm’s length, to be observed but not truly felt - until it had been ripped away from him. He felt like one giant exposed nerve. Simply existing in the same space as other people was almost unbearable.
And Jon’s hand was still wrapped around his, and that was worse. All of the painful, tangled emotions that the Lonely had provided an escape from were connected to Jon. He had loved Jon. He knew that. He had waited years for Jon to give some sign that he cared and, the time would come eventually when Martin would be very glad he finally had.
For now, though, his feelings towards Jon were...complicated.

Summary
Jon held his breath. The kitten was small enough to fit in Jon’s palm, and it had met him less than a minute before. The kitten didn’t know if Jon meant it harm, it didn’t know any of the things - good and bad and worse - that Jon had done in the last three years, it didn’t know what Jon was, but it trusted him completely. After a moment it curled into a ball in the crook of Jon’s knee, apparently content to fall asleep there and then. Jon hurriedly blinked away the tears that were threatening to spring up into his eyes.
In a world where Jonah Magnus's plan doesn't work, Jon and Martin stay in Scotland and try to live a normal life - or as close to normal as they can, under the circumstances. Their neighbor's cat has kittens.

Summary
Jon yawns from his spot on the couch, stretches his arms over his head, and then falls into Martin’s lap.
“God, I’m exhausted. I don’t think I’ll make it into bed tonight; I barely have the energy to braid my hair.”
I could braid it for you . It’s the sort of thought that used to flash across Martin’s mind occasionally only to be immediately quashed, back when he was still pining after Jon with a fondness he never hoped would be reciprocated. Now, though, there’s nothing stopping him from making the offer out loud, so he does.
“Oh.” Jon blinks up at him. “Could you?”
Martin braids Jon's hair. That's it, that's the fic.

Summary
"Jon almost wished for the cold sands he'd familiarized himself with, however short a time that may have been. The streets were cold beneath his bare feet as he trudged aimlessly, yes, but it wasn't the same. It left a gnawing emptiness where he felt like someone should have been; where hands should have caressed, eyes should have gazed; where warmth should have nestled itself between his ribs, endeavoring to permeate the rest of his flesh with its benevolence. But here, there was nothing- only an all-consuming sky and people in windows who existed only within his periphery."

In the small village near certain Scottish Cottage there are some people who...to put it midly, do not like the folks that come to stay every now and then near their Home. Three especially old-minded teens decide it is a good idea to give a fright to Jon and Martin...you know, actual Fear avatars?
It doesn't go as planned. Also, messed up original statement.
Set in my AU universe but can be perfectly read as a sepparate one-shot...just, everybody lives.

Summary
“You’re not supposed to be up! I was going to bring you breakfast in bed!”
Jon yawned and walked over to where Martin was cooking. He inspected the half-finished batter with bleary, sleep-crusted eyes, making Martin suddenly self-conscious.
“I’ll just be a minute,” he murmured, “Go back to bed.”
“Why would I stay in bed when you’re out here?”
He came up behind Martin and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his head against Martin’s back. He stayed there so long - swaying slightly as Martin moved about, reaching for eggs and whisks and measuring cups - that Martin thought he might have fallen asleep where he stood.
“Comfortable back there?” he asked, a teasing note in his voice.
“Mm-hm,” Jon said, “Very.”
In the safehouse, Martin cooks Jon breakfast. The pair celebrate a very special occasion.

Summary
Martin stares at Jon, who stands just a few feet away outside. In one hand he holds a paper bag full of groceries: the entire reason he and Daisy went out in the first place. With his free arm, Jon attempts to push Daisy away from him. The woman is currently curled around him as much as he’s allowing, hunched over so her hands are able to sneak past his cardigan and underneath his shirt. A venture which Jon is trying his absolute best to prevent, blush darkening his cheeks.
Jon can only offer a lopsided grin as he’s gently molested by their housemate. “Hey. So, um, something happened.”
---
Daisy encounters an unusual plant. Jon and Martin deal with the after-effects.

Summary
You are a home. The voice comes from inside him. He hears it plainly in his mind, a static whisper. It’s warm, it unspools and swells in his stomach. Lower than his stomach, actually.
Something twinges in him. He swallows as blind panic rises in his chest, and nausea. You are a home and a grave and the fertile earth the grave feeds and the flowers that grow there.
Jon’s droning on. The statement is about houses and bodies. Hallway veins, furnace hearts, nursery uteruses. Martin hasn’t done a T shot since London. They left in such a hurry he forgot basically everything he needed. They’d replaced most of it in the town near the safehouse, but not that, and he’d told himself it would be fine, he could have a period again, fuckit.
He hasn’t, though. He thought—he thought it was just his body changing permanently. Panic claws through him. He presses a hand to that warm whispering spot in his body.
(Or: Martin is pregnant, but it's not the end of the world. Oh. Wait.)
