I awoke to a familiar voice in an unfamiliar cavern, with a strong sense of purpose but no memories to back it up. So many things in this world seem to be waiting for me and me alone, and I happen upon them so seemingly by chance that it's hard not to believe destiny is playing a role in my journey. They call me the Champion, a man of legend. Is it true what they say? Am I really who they say I am? Who they say I was? It's all so hard to believe.
But amidst all this confusion, there is one thing that is certain: her. Her voice calls out to me, guides me, and invokes something deep within me. I don't know who she is, or why my entire being reacts so strongly to her voice, but I know that I must find out.

In 1952, Klaus Schmidt discovered a young child with terrifying abilities.
In 1954, the remains of what appeared to be a lab were discovered, mutilated bodies beyond recognition.
In 1958, Erik Lehnsherr met Elise Graves under questionable circumstances.
One is dark and bitter, the other driven, yet innocent. Their paths ran parallel towards the same goal, a mutual need for vengeance, and they agree to work together. That mutual need grows into an inferno for both of them as their feelings shift into something more, their desire to protect each other nearly outweighing their hatred of their enemy. Nearly.
In 1962, when their paths come to a crossroads, they must decide what their hearts truly want.

Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.
And that’s when things get complicated.
