Water. Air. Fire. Earth.
Something is very wrong with the Avatar cycle, (if you read The Curse of Reyla, you would know) and Korra is determined to fix it.
But Korra soon discovers that, one by one, her past lives are slowly returning,
arriving by way of a mysterious portal that is responsible for distorting the Avatar Cycle, a portal that also threatens the return of Chaos and Darkness to the world of mortals.
Should Korra leave the portal open for all 600 of her past lives to return and risk the return of a great and ancient evil? Or should she sacrifice her past lives once and for all to protect the world?Can she perform this balancing act of cosmic proportions?

The concept of balance has never struck Zuko as something he'd understand.Iroh brings it up once after the siege of the North Pole, mentioning the moon and ocean spirits being the koi fish in the Spirit Oasis. They circle each other in an 'eternal dance,' his uncle calls it. Zuko frowns at the mention, only remembering battling the Water Tribe girl over the Avatar.
The second time is when he and Aang are facing Ran and Shaw. As they do the Dragon Dance, the prince can't help but notice how they circle each other so perfectly, two parts of a whole.
Even when he and Katara start to call each other "Sun" and "Moon" as they cuddle on the Ember Island beach, the connection still isn't made.
It's only in the midst of the Agni Kai with Azula, feeling her lightning go past him, that he realizes just what his uncle meant all those months ago.
One cannot exist without the other.
Zuko wasn't fast enough to redirect Azula's lightning.

Summary
Avatar Aang leaves the South Pole with Katara and Sokka without ever having met a Fire Nation soldier, much less Prince Zuko.
Instead, he meets Commander Zhao shortly after settling onto Kyoshi Island, a cunning military man who has no teenaged prince in the vicinity to antagonize. Not that he would have if he did.
Prince Zuko dines in the Royal Palace with his parents, Fire Lord Ozai and Fire Lady Ursa, his younger sisters Princess Azula and Princess Kiyumi (known affectionately as Kiyi to her brother), and his uncle Prince Iroh, the Dragon of the West.
In a world where Zuko was never banished, where Ozai was never anything except the best father and husband he could be to his family (though that didn't extend to the rest of the Fire Nation), and where Zuko and Azula fought only as much as any pair of siblings, Avatar Aang emerges into a different world than he otherwise could've, a world where everyone has their own motivations, a world with more united royal family than we've seen before.
Or so it appears.

Drabble No. 11: Hakoda is a prisoner of war. This, he is used to. Then they send in Azula to break him, and nothing could prepare the Water Tribe chief for the Fire Nation princess and her... methods.
Drabble No. 12: Jet had his little gang, and it's a perfectly adequate found family. But it's not enough to erase his past trauma.
Drabble No. 13: Hama is the last waterbender alive in the Fire Nation prison. With no one but the rats and guards to interact with, something in her snaps.
Drabble No. 14: On Ji was a bit in love with Kuzon, but more so enraptured with the shift in thinking he wrought, the changes he left in his wake.
Drabble No. 15: A set of four haiku on each of the four elements. Might be my favorite of the bunch (so far).
Drabble No. 16: Wan Shi Tong is really a simple spirit. The owl just wants to know everything. Why, then, is he still not satisfied with his lot in life? -

Summary
In a society which tells them how to live their lives, a group of six benders, under the leadership of a nomad, Namjoon, gather in order to find the Lost Prince of the Northern Water Tribe and restore the balance the Tribe desperately needs to survive. Meanwhile, the world faces a great threat, not a villain who desires power, but society itself, with its coservative beliefs and customs, which put too many limits on people's lives. The world needs an Avatar who will change society from within. But it seems the Avatar is as lost as the Prince.
Follow Namjoon, as he teams up with a lonely and awfully naive nomad, a quiet and mysterious waterbender, a fire prince exiled from his home, a guard too focused on the sense of duty and an earthbender who's forbidden from following his dreams, in order to find the Lost Prince hidden away from the problems of the world. -

Here is my version of what the rest of the Avatar the Last Airbender would look like if Zutara actually happened. I start from the Agni Kai between Azula and Zuko and we just go from there.I just want to add, I made the effects of Zuko's lightning wound a lot worse than they were portrayed in the show, since I feel like, even though he did get healed by Katara, his reactions and recovery time were very unrealistic (that's probably just me though). I also came up with some new concepts that have to do with Chi and the Spirit World, so hopefully they work with the story and the rest of the Avatar Universe.

She ran through the streets, waving to the people she knew. Admittedly, Anana didn’t know very many people, but they all knew her. Anana was kind of a local legend. Anana: the dragon girl. If she really wanted to, she could hide her dragon like bits, but she was proud of who she was. She was mostly human anyways. She looked like any other fire nation citizen, except for the dragon’s eyes, pointed teeth, and wickedly sharp claws. She wasn’t always that way. She had Kaen to blame for her strange appearance, but she also had him to thank for her firebending, so it all evened out.
