Summary
How are you supposed to move forward when you can't stop regretting your past? With no time to mourn the loss of Princess Yue, Aang and Aelita set their sights on the Earth Kingdom with Sokka and Katara in tow; Aang needing to master earthbending and the Earth King's support vital to winning the war. There the Avatar struggles with the stubborn element while the Akira struggles with her own inner turmoil. Free to make her own choices for the first time ever, Aelita finds herself in a near-constant battle with regret and self-doubt.
But Aelita isn't the only one with demons. Walking away from the girl that used to be his peace and seeing his throne slip from his fingers has left Zuko resentful and hurt. If this was his rock bottom, he wasn't sure there was any climbing up. With fire quickly breathing down his neck the banished Prince must decide who he wants to be before the choice is made for him.
More determined than ever the team is ready to dig their heels in, prepared to face the war and any new challenges head on. No one is safe from change as they are carved in rock. Book Two of the series Akira: The Legend of Aelita. Proceeded by Book One: Reborn in Water.

EarthA genetic mutation happened around 10,000 BC; most people don't know the cause, but every five generations, nine people end up with the mutation. They can bend all four elements. Some call it the spirits; others say it's a rare genetic blip. Either way, these nine are the most powerful in the world. They are called Avatars, and together they form Team A.

Katara could hardly feel the cold except on her face. A breeze passed her by as she walked past a stall selling seal jerky. She shivered and rubbed her arms.
An unexpected ball of firelight materialized in front of her. The heat from the dancing flame filled her.
“We can’t have that, can we?” asked a deep, melodic voice. Aang slid into step beside her, a wide grin on his face. He held his palm in front of her and kept the fire he controlled at a steady temperature. His auburn cloak was wrapped securely around his shoulders. If Katara could, she would praise the seamstress who had made it. Her husband looked great every time he chose to wear it.
Katara walked closer to him so that her side was almost brushing against his. “Not all of us can be firebenders, Aang,” she teased.

Summary
Zuko’s head filled with the cacophony of cries, voices of the present and past all vying for his attention, accusatory and wicked as they lashed his mind with a venomous scrutiny almost as violent as his own words inflicted upon himself.
Then suddenly, as if the entire world had faded away in the blink of an eye, there was silence. There was no pain. The fires that raged around him, hungrily consuming the dead and dying, were replaced by the flickering candle flames nestled inside the cozy vessels of lanterns. The dark evening of an encroaching stormy sky was replaced by the sleepy corridors of a large room lined with shelves upon shelves of books.Strangely, he found himself within these hollowed halls, face to face with a Water Tribesman who called himself an Architect of destiny. Who judged the souls of the dead and sent them on to the afterlife, and corrected the wrongs made by humanity. All while maintaining the sacred webs of Fate.
Amidst it all, Zuko must discover his own destiny and carve out a path within the world once more before the webs that held his fragile life in the balance, cut him out of it entirely.

Summary
Zuko, Prince of the Fire Nation has just been banished. He’s spoken out of turn, disobeyed Uncle, even disrespected Father . He’s failed the nation that he’s supposed to rule one day and deserves his punishment, not the possibility to regain his honor given to him by Father.
Capture the Avatar? Okay. He resides in Ba Sing Se, the most heavily fortified city in the Earth Kingdom, but okay.
Return him to the Fire Nation alive? Sure. He’s probably being trained by bending masters from around the world but sure.
Get his honor back and learn to rule his nation with pride and justice? Fine. Azula hates him, Mother’s gone , and he looks absolutely hideous with his scar, but it’s fine.
At least he knows where the Avatar is. After all, the Avatar is sacred. He must be protected in Ba Sing Se.
Right?
Or, the Fire Nation was more than thorough in their search for the Avatar, but Zuko learns early on that his honor had never been lost.
