Summary
In the year 1917, two brothers struggle to survive as the odds are stacked against them. The French, whipped to a reverent rage, are now more than willing to exact revenge upon the Germans. Facing a loss of morale, reinforcements and sanity slowly being depleted, the two German brothers resort to extreme measures to survive the onslaught of the mad Frenchmen.
During a chaotic encounter, Willimod, the younger brother, is mysteriously separated. Luther, the older brother, thinking the worst has happened, is desolated by the outcome of their battle. And as he went about, trying to find the supposed remains of his brother, he overreacts and comes across a delicate walking, talking ‘lynx’, who, unlike anything in the world of which he regarded as mysterious, can perceive human emotions.
But the story does not conclude in a sense that the events were of mere coincidence...
