In the few weeks of summer before the world went to hell… again… the Bad Kids look at their relationships and know who to be thankful for.
I've always been facinated with The Bad Kids' friendships, and especially after Baron pointed it out to Riz again- that most of them probably feel like they are only friends because they were in detention together and don't all have something in common.
So I just wanted to write how they all are friends despite detention and that they do all love each other.
Essentially one-shots for each duo. -

Summary
In hindsight, Kristen maybe should have done a bit more research into the ritual that asks you to drink moon pool water in order to travel back in time before she started roping her friends into actually performing it. But she didn’t, so maybe she doesn’t get to be surprised when it rips a thousand little holes in the seams of reality, and maybe she doesn’t get to complain when she’s the one that has to reach through and stitch them back together. There’s seven hundred and twenty ways it could go but only one way it can end, and this is it.
(or: the bad kids try to remember what happened in the forest of the Nightmare King. It doesn’t go well. A reader-interactive story about doubt, second chances, and the not so far distance between your selves.)

Riz was small and carried business cards. He wore suits to school and tugged around a briefcase engraved with the initials of a nickname that had been given to him by someone who’d just thrown him in a trashcan. But for all that, he knew his friends and he knew that Kristen’s need to get higher, to see the world from above the rest of them, was most effective when there was someone to tug her back down again when she was finished.
“Whenever you die, it feels like there’s something in the universe that breaks,” he said, just loud enough for her to hear. Her grip on his shoulder tightened ever so slightly. “Like there was something important that exploded a few hundred years too soon.”

Summary
Aelwyn Abernant is not okay.
Most people wouldn't be after everything she's gone through- years of child abuse, months of torture, and being stuck under the thumb of an evil cat and her own parents. But she's getting through it the best she can. And if the best she can do is drink too much and stay out too late and try and numb the pain, then isn't that good enough?No, it isn't. After a night out filled with dancing and gorgeous DJs and private detectives named Riz Gukgak and actually feeling something again, Aelwyn knows that something is wrong. Luckily for her, school is starting back up, and she happens to be the ward of the best guidance counselor in Elmville, who would be happy to help Aelwyn get her diploma so she can go off to University.
But for some reason, the Bad Kids can never seem to get through a year without a mystery to solve and a mission to complete. And for some reason, Aelwyn can never seem to get away from the Bad Kids.
Aelwyn Abernant is not okay.
