After a month of silence, Diego's girlfriend showed up at 2:00 in the morning on Klaus' doorstep.
"I need your help."
Klaus blinked sleepily at her, still half-asleep and more confused than fearing for his life (considering she'd tried to kill his family). Then his bleary eyes took in the way she was trembling, and the slightly manic glint in her eyes. He noticed the wailing ghosts that were following her and the way she seemed to flinch at their shouts.
("Klaus," Ben would've warned him if he were there, that reprimanding tone saved just for when he was doing something particularly stupid.)
(Ben wasn't there. He was gone.)
Klaus blinked at Lila again before pulling the door open wider and shuffling to the side. "Come in."

The 58-year-old man trapped in his 13-year-old body froze in place, eyes glued to the scene in front of him, slowly lowering the gun he was holding. Klaus was on his knees on the asphalt, his green eyes wide open to Five, Handler's hand encased in his brown hair, the gun in his temple.
The Handler disabled the safety with one click and looked at Five.
"So, Number Five, what's gonna be? "

Lila had varying opinions on Diego's siblings. The only one she really got on with was Klaus, who had developed a liking to her after she bought pizza that one time. Luther and Vanya were jumpy, nervous around her, and she never had time for people who treat her like that. Allison was scornful of her, and mostly avoided her like plague. Gee, you try to kill someone one time. Five, of course, was always one step away from brutally murdering her, and vice versa. The only thing that stopped her was she found that her love for Diego was far greater than her to desire to kill his brother. Man, she was getting soft.
