OR: In which Percy is only taking this stupid Lit class because all he needs is one more English credit before he can focus on the classes he wants to take. But when he gets paired with the strange and striking Vex'ahlia his whole world starts to change. For the first time in gods know how long he begins to feel a connection with someone other than his far-away sister. For as long as he could remember he had been hiding in the college town of Emon, away from his past, his first home, and all of the problems that came with it. But as the events of his past begin to rise up in his present Percy finds himself with no one to turn but this stunning girl and her odd group of friends.

Greyskull Manor has been haunted for a long time. It has been abandoned since the deaths of the de Rolos. Percy hasn’t set foot since he drove off with his youngest sister. But after he is informed by his friend Allura that there has been another death, he chooses to go back.
Vex’aliah hasn’t been back to the manor since she and her brother fled the house. When Vax goes by himself and is found dead she wants to kill whatever killed him. She meets Percy the only other person who understands perfectly the workings of that house. So she goes back with him.

Vax disagrees, silently. There’s no one out there who is good enough for his sister, and the elvish children would no doubt be disinherited if they were discovered to have soul marks. After all, pureblood elves just know, he mocks in his head, they don’t need crude marks to tell them who their soulmate is.

The Mighty Nein, most younger than they're meant to be, wake up scattered in different parts of Tal'Dorei and taken in by odd characters who call themselves part of a group named Vox Machina. They have no memories past their regressed ages, some in odd situations.
As the pieces of their team get brought together, they struggle to figure out why exactly they've been brought together and by whom. While that's happening, they slowly give in to the odd strings that apparently draw them to each other.

When there is a world of classifications, one looked down upon more than the others. There is bound to be traumatic situations and people in need. Don't worry though Pike is trained to keep them safe, while Vex is trained to hunt them down. They all work for the same side, the right side.
Percival on the other hand, hasn't been shown a ounce of love, being kept away with others, tortured and experimented on. Thankfully he and his companions are saved, but at what cost? To have placement with his friends Dom twin sister? In a house full of people? This cannot end well.
