A Genshin AU story that takes place in high school.
Aether, a first year student with a heavy past and a hard situation, is bullied because of his differences and origins.
Despite his will to go on, his torments only keep getting harsher.
One day, he meets Kazuha, a second year student, formerly in the kendo club, who also bears a heavy burden and shadows of the past.Can their relation help them both to move forward?
Or will it only serve to repeat a tragedy similar to the one that took place one year ago?Note 1: This fic has, if you read the tags, heavy stuff/topics. If you're uncomfortable with those, please don't read.
Note 2: It's my first AU fic, so I hope it will turn out right.
Note 3: This fic has little "physical" description (places, appearance) and focuses heavily on action/dialogs and characters inner thoughts/emotions. Chapters are short.

"I do not presently wish to return to Inazuma, to set foot on the soil of her islands. But, should I find myself on her land once again… I would seek out the Raiden Shogun. My hatred for her does not stem only from the loss of my dear friend, but also from the Vision Hunt Decree. I want to see to it that justice is delivered, for my friend and all others who died by her hand. And if it is fate's decision that I shall die, then I will die knowing that I have tried."

He gripped onto Dain as tightly as possible, hiding his face in his chest. They both didn’t care whether or not the tears falling down his cheeks were soaking Dain’s clothes. All they could do now was embrace each other, one claiming back what was once his, and the other, trying to forget everything. The only thing that could be heard was the sobbing from the golden haired boy.
Dain rubbed circles on his back, “Shh… none of this was your fault… it wasn’t your choice.”

When Aether was separated from his sister, Lumine, he was left alone to fend for himself in a world unknown to him. Still suffering from the loss of his old home, Khaenri’ah— in order to seek revenge, Aether created the abyss order. He is forced to become the cold and merciless prince of the Abyss, eliminating all in his way. Five-hundred years later, Aether reunites with his sister— but she has sided with the enemy. Even though Aether could never forgive himself for the monstrosity he has created, many notice his suffering and are more than willing to forgive him.
