3 Works in John Egbert & Everyone
"Hope to me is about believing in stuff. If you believe in stuff, then everything feels like it's going to be okay."
- Jake English
After stepping through that pure white door...John did not expect to see a battlefield littered with his dead friends. After four years fighting against Lord English, he was the only one left standing against the cherub.
But...perhaps...fate is on his side. John, with the help of his half-dead friends, travels back in time to fix the dreadful future.
One second on the roof of a high rise. The next in a pitch black basement in the middle of a summoning circle.
Yeah, John's day wasn't going so well.

--has a brief-but-not-really existential crisis, gets caught having such feelings by almost everyone, gets involved in more than a few somewhat one-shot events, all that conclude with him being engulfed by the human emotion called friendship, hence eventually coming to terms with his said repressed feelings and learning more about his friends and himself; This includes terrible narrating, subtle and not subtle mental breakdowns, friendship moments, reconciliation moments, somewhat caliginous moments, heart-to-heart talks and lots of stupid monologues.
TL;DR: a somewhat depressed John Egbert learns a little more about grieving and acceptance towards change with the help of his friends.
