If Jimin takes a moment to think about it, he doesn't really remember ever not being able to communicate with the dead.
Whilst he accepts it, it doesn't mean that he has to accept the way the residents of his little town treat him. Despite that, he becomes used to the cold stares, the too loud whispering behind his back and the simple revulsion to step anywhere near him.
But when a spirit wakes him one night, frantic screams leaving him wide eyed with sweat soaking through his sleep shirt, he finds himself mixed up in something he has no control over.
Just who is Min Yoongi? And why does he need saving?
It would have been the perfect year (his senior year after all), except for the fact that Yoongi took a certain liking for a boy who showed up to college wearing a Pikachu onesie.
college au where jimin wears a pikachu onesie and yoongi dies.
It's a somewhat miserable afternoon, the heart of Seoul beating with the tempo of an oncoming storm, when everything that Park Jimin has built so carefully, shatters.
One, two, three, four,
Five, six, seven, eight.
It's been years, centuries, since Jimin's raked in a full breath.
And yet as a single letter resurfaces a past that he's worked so hard to forget, he finds himself back on a path that he thought he'd lost sight of forever.
Dare he allow himself the courage?
- Part 2 of A Hex a Day
Min Yoongi had a plan.
Gather enough funds, pack up his pokey little art stall, and get the hell out of Imperio before it drags him and his friends under.
And yet, when Yoongi loses a bet and finds himself the victim of a punishment concocted by his (extremely drunk) friends, he has no idea that the world he thinks that he knows is about to turn itself inside out.
His demise comes in the form of an angel bathed in white, honey locks lit with moonlight and cheeks sprinkled with stardust. He's everything that Yoongi's taught himself to hate, until he isn't.
Just weeks away from escaping the clutches of a town boasting iron bars for walls and a society so content in it's ignorance, he finds himself allowing Park Jimin to slip in through the cracks of his heart and seal them with a light so warm it's almost scorching.
Most name love as a slow process, the gentle lapping of waves as they drag you further under, further out into oblivion.
And yet for Yoongi, love boasts itself as a branding, a searing at his skin that blisters all too fast, far before he's ever even realised.
He had a plan,
He's not so sure.
Park Jimin arrives in a flurry of too bright laughter and excitement, and Yoongi finds himself entirely unprepared for it.
Life with a travelling circus is hectic, full of glaringly bright lights, thunderous applause and foreign towns who's names are easily forgotten with the roll of each new season.
Yoongi walks it easier than an acrobat would a tightrope, knows with certainty that he was simply born to reign over the skies with his partner and put on a performance worthy of his name as a Dragon Rider.
Circus life is easy for Yoongi - predictable despite the risks. It's home, and he'd do anything to keep hold of it.
And so when his cousin suffers a nasty fall, out of commission for the majority of the new season, and they're left without any other option than to bring in fresh meat to replace him, Yoongi finds himself faced with a (petty) battle he had not prepared himself for.
Suddenly circus life isn't so easy, and nor are the feelings he soon learns to associate with one Park Jimin.
