Gabriel had spoken with Marinette before, but even then, when she had snapped at him, he never heard this kind of malicious tone and quite frankly, was grateful that he wasn’t the one that anger was directed at.

Jean shared a look with Valérie and nodded. “A chance to hang out with our new German friends after we missed out on the last day of the trip back in January?” he asked rhetorically. “That sounds pretty awesome to me! I think we’re both planning to go.”
Aurore shrugged. “I don’t know,” she told her. “I might not be a lot of fun there.”
Mireille pursed her lips and sighed. “I’m sorry for pushing,” she apologized, staring up into the tree’s leaves. “I just–”
“No, maybe I will come,” Aurore decided, interrupting her. She forced herself to smile. “Like you said, it can get my mind off of… him. And we won’t be here for the rest of the trial.”

For millions of years the Miraculous and the Majicks have been locked in a constant battle with each other, neither backing down.
Miraculous were the Guardians of the Innocent, and fought evil when it reared its ugly head their way.
Majicks were the Guardians of Secrets, and fought evil before it became a problem, keeping the demons of Hel from coming to the surface and destroying the world.
Though both were Magic, and had a powerful influence on the world, they never worked together.Max knew the stories, it was the lore he had been versed so well in since he was a small child.
Majicks and Miraculous hated each other. They never worked together, weren't supposed to work together.
End of story.Yet, here he was, staring at a small floating pony and red dragon in awe, wondering why the hell the Guardian of the Miraculous had decided to give HIM one.

“So with all the negativity and evil in the world,” Kim asked, “should we really be celebrating the Nazis and what they did and how they did it?”
M. Kubdel chuckled. “That is a valid point,” he admitted. “I don’t think anyone wants to see a return to Nazism.”
Nath shuddered. “That’s for sure…” he muttered.
“Absolutely not!” Lila interjected. “The Nazis were absolutely terrible! How could they have so completely taken over the hearts and minds of an entire country, as to do such terrible things?”
“Can anyone think of a reason why we should study Nazism and how it was able to gain such a following?”
Marc sighed. “‘Those who do not learn from their past are doomed to repeat it,’” he recited sullenly.
“Learning about this history is not meant to be comfortable,” M. Kubdel interjected. “However, if we do not learn our history, we cannot learn from our history. You can learn from the painful parts of your past in order to avoid them in the future. But learning about the past does not mean we are beholden to the past.”
