Summary
Post-Defeat of Chuck in Inherit the Earth, Jack is off to become the new God, and the Winchesters are left to pick up the pieces. Only Jack's unannounced changes to the universe have Sam and Dean apparently unemployed and still stumped as to how to rescue Cas
...
Sam doesn’t put up much of a fight, he flips the laptop back open and Dean sees himself sitting on the floor, in the dungeon and-oh God the Dean on the floor is openly sobbing. Which means Sam already saw-
Dean slams the laptop closed, “Why are you watching that?”
“I just thought-” Sam doesn’t finish his sentence, starts a different one. “I’m so sorry, Dean.”
“Don’t,” Dean pleads, “Don’t be sorry. We’re going to fix this. You and me and Jack, we are going to get him back.”
Sam nods, wiping at his face, “Yeah. Of course we are. We will.”
Dean hates how much his voice shakes when he asks, “You really watched-?”
“Sorry,” Sam says, and this time he finishes the sentence, “I thought if I just saw The Empty again I might see something I was missing.”
“Did you?”
“Yes.” Sam doesn’t sound like he’s talking about a solution to the Cas problem. And sure enough, “I saw Cas. And for the first time in a long time, I saw you.” -

Summary
Rearranging the storyline: Dean was not a demon at the end of S9. S15 doesn't happen. Instead of Jack dying, Dean sacrifices himself and Crowley demonizes him. Dean leaves the bunker, working with Crowley in Chicago. Story follows a new character (still in development) who will bring Destiel together at last. There are a lot of ups and downs, writing at 2AM all week can be messy, so much more to come next week!
*More to come! Distracted by Jensen Ackles and his holy hell scenes on The Boys

Summary
He landed silently, wanting to take in the scene before doing as Gabriel had commanded. His eyes glanced over the far wall where The Empty had opened up to claim him and he shuddered. Moving on he saw Dean slumped in the place he had left him, tears poured down the Hunters' face as the laptop lay open on his thighs.
Scrambling to his feet he rushed Cas without thought or plan, cupping his handsome face and kissing him deep.
“Cas?” He sighed, now peppering light kisses onto Castiels' lips. “Cas is this real?”
“Yes Dean.”
“You son of a bitch.” Dean breathed to Gabriel, wherever he may be.Series

Summary
Heaven, Dean finds, is surprisingly not easy to adjust to.
He gets along with both of his parents fine, which comes as a pleasant shock. Bobby visits once in a while for dinner, bringing booze and long anecdotes about hunts of the past. Ellen and Jo have the Roadhouse up and running, and Dean stops by once a week or so to chat. He’s surrounded by familiar faces and warm welcomes, and it’s nice.
Still, something feels eerie about the place. He’s chalked it up to just plain paranoia, considering the quite literal Hell on Earth he’d experienced in life. But now that there’s nothing to hunt, why is he still so uneasy? Surely Jack’s new Heaven is trustworthy... right?

Summary
He can’t do this, maybe he was meant to do this, but he can’t and he knows he should try to, that someone needs to take this on, but maybe at least he shouldn’t have to be alone. This power isn’t about him, none of this is about him, but he can’t help selfishly thinking what’s the point of having anything like this if he can’t have Cas back?
Do you ever think about how Jack deciding that maybe Godhood is one burden he shouldn't have to take on – for once – would actually be quite a good ending for him? -
