Features time-travel memo shenanigans, death-defying dadhunts, extremely awkward movie nights, Erisolsprite's endless suffering, and the Mohs Scale of Dude Hardness. Not necessarily in that order.
Adapted from a draft written in mid-2014. Originally intended as a Dirk/Jake relationship study, and while that's still definitely the main focus, it pulls in Jane and Roxy as well from Chapter 4 onwards. I love 'em (and the Alpha Kid dynamics) too much to leave 'em out.

Summary
Dave's read those stupid soulmate happily-ever-after articles, and he finds them completely cliche. Wouldn't anyone? Their filled with guarantees and fake smiles. It's almost sickening. So there is one thing that everyone ought to know about Dave: he does not give two shits who turns out to be his stupid soulmate, even if she's hot and smart. Because there is one thing Dave knows for sure...that relationships don't last, and they are not, in any way, "perfect".
Will be deleting the existing chapters and replacing them with edited ones soon. Expect the edited ones to pop up daily? Weekly? I'm not sure yet. We'll see. Will probably post every Wednesday? Friday? Once again: we'll see.
