It took some convincing to get Aizawa to leave the carbon-mesh weapon behind for their outing. Call it paranoia or caution. Either way, the idea of being unarmed out in public still doesn’t sit well with him. Toshinori eventually got him to leave it behind by saying,
“Come on, don’t bring work along with us. Let’s just be normal for a bit. You don’t need to be on guard everywhere you go. Please? For me?”
And hell, how is he supposed to say no to that?
They are out in public. They are deviating from their usual, protected patterns. They are unarmed. They are at ease. They are vulnerable.
The watcher shoves his camera back into the bag at his hip, turns the collar of his coat up to hide his face, and pulls out his phone. One message is all it takes, and then the spider web vibrates into motion, closing the trap around All Might.
For the last time, he thinks with a delicious shudder of anticipation.
