At the upper levels of the tower, past the 100th floor, the tests suddenly increase in difficulty again. Unlike the 20th floor, where Regulars often rest for years, too tired to push on, this barrier is called the 'glass ceiling' of the tower.
The reason for this is nepotism, (or favoritism, or politics, different people call it different things). In any case, starting from the 100th floor, there are certain floors owned by the 10 Great Families. And naturally, being a part of one of these families might give you a big advantage.
Or, for their enemies, these tests become battlegrounds with their lives on the line.

The Twenty-Fifth Bam works at The Tower of Goods, a popular home goods store where the hours are manageable and his coworkers are likeable. He's lucky to have this job during such uncertain times. He's grateful for the opportunity and is determined to do his best!
Lero-Ro is the store manager for The Tower of Goods on 21st Street. This year has been...insane. It's been insane. But he's holding it together, and considering that the country is in lockdown business is doing fairly well. They even meet the sales forecast on occasion. Now all he has to do is keep his sanity in check, like any respectable leader would.
Hansung-Yu is the District Manager for The Tower of Goods in Scranton, Pennsylvania. His job is wonderful. He gets to torment teenagers and grown men with overdeveloped moral compasses alike and no one can call him out on it. It's hilarious, and he gets paid way more than he has any right to.
Khun Aguero Agnis needed a job. This was the only one he could find. And he...was so not prepared for the horrors retail could bring.
This is the story of a team of retail employees braving American consumerist culture in the year 2020, during the Covid-19 crisis. God help them all.

Fifteen years have passed since the Outbreak.
A mission in the Outwalls starts another adventure that makes Khun question if fighting an endless battle against the enemy is just the least of their problems.
Viole snarls, baring his teeth furiously, the remnants of his anger draining away due to the adrenaline crash. “Because some idiot tried to be a hero - ”
“It was a diversion!” Khun growls back, snapping his mouth shut when the door gives a tentative groan at the burst of energy from the hungry creatures on the other side of the wall. He adds, much quieter this time, “You know we wouldn’t have survived if the horde continued following us.”
The tension in Viole’s shoulder bleeds out minutely, but it’s replaced with something else, deeper and aching. “And you would have died. That’s something I will never allow to happen.”

Dans tous les cas, à partir du 100ème étage, il y a certains étages possédés par les 10 Grandes Familles. Et naturellement, faire partie de l’une de ces familles peut vous donner un grand avantage.
