Everyone says Lex Foster and Ethan Green were picked up selling her mother's painkillers one Saturday night. Everyone says that's why they haven't been home in weeks, they're in jail awaiting trial.
Hannah Foster knows better than that. She knows what really happened to them. The nightmares told her that much. She knows that Lex and Ethan aren't in some minimum security prison ten miles from Hatchetfield. They're in Nightmare Time, and they'll die there if Hannah doesn't help them.
With the help of a social worker with a heart of gold, a rather odd woman with untold powers, a mysterious little girl, and her trusty ukulele, Hannah will save her family. Either that, or she'll die trying. There are no other options.
Along the way, Hannah will see what happens in Nightmare Time, and if she has the strength to survive it.
