The only people behind the fire were a group of 5 children. They were looked up at me with various expressions of fear and concern. The tiny green-haired one whose voice I had mistaken for Father’s was clutching his hand and crying. I probably burnt him.
“You burnt Izu-Chan!” a blonde-haired girl with two buns yelled, voice filled with malice and anger.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to! I- I- It was an accident.” I tried to plead out through my own tears from pain in my arm. I was used to the feeling of my skin on fire, having felt it more times than anyone should, but it never got less painful just easier to hide. I have to hide that it hurts or he’ll force me to keep using it until my body adapts.
“It’s ok.” The green-haired one tried to sniffle out still clearly in pain.” It’s just a small burn see” He said showing me his burnt palm.”I know how to deal with burns and my dad had a fire quirk so I have some of his leftover fire resistance.”He tried to smile but it was wobbly at best.
“My name is Izuku Midoriya and you?” He said extending his unburnt hand.
