5 Works in Ghost Richie Tozier
Eddie jumped from his couch and pulled a pillow to defend himself. He reluctantly turned to face the faint figure. “W-what are you?”
“A ghost, duh! Haven’t you heard of Casper? I’m like him, but your worst nightmare.” Richie wore a shit-eating grin. So he has been right. There had been a ghost messing with him for the past few days. He directly looked into the ghost’s eyes. Eddie hated to admit it, but he looked quite attractive for a ghost.
As if the ghost read his mind, he said, “Like what you see, Eds?”
Eddie moves into an apartment unaware that he had an undead roommate lurking around.
It was the day that Eddie had first seen a dead body.
There was a young man sitting on Eddie's bed with an open copy of 'Dracula' in his hands. Eddie's copy. For a moment, he felt enraged that a stranger was holding one of his books, but then he was overtaken by the question of what the hell was a lanky young man with unruly black curls and thick glasses doing sitting on his bed? A confused expression had taken over the strangers face.
"What the hell are you doing in my room?" Eddie asked.
The man stared at Eddie. He put the book down on the bedside table and stood up. The first words that came from his mouth were not what Eddie had expected.
"Can you see me?"
“This place is haunted?”
“That’s what the past couple of owners have told me.” The realtor said, letting out a nervous laugh. “But that’s ridiculous! There’s no such thing as ghosts, besides no one has ever died in this house, I looked it up.”
Ben gulped nervously, Eddie was surprised to realize he didn’t really care. He knew there had to be something wrong with the house, but as far as catches go, a ghost was better than the house being infested by rats or cockroaches or something like that.
“Surely a big tough man like you wouldn’t be frightened by a little ghost anyway right?”
“Not at all.” Eddie replied even if it was clear she’d been talking to Ben, who was eyeing the house suspiciously. “In fact, I’d welcome some company.”
Ben turned to face Eddie with shock. Eddie shrugged, he didn’t care about Ben’s opinion on this place being haunted. He was here to tell Eddie if the foundation was intact and he already had so Eddie decided to ignore him. He turned to the realtor.
“I’ll take it.”
The woman smiled and Ben ducked his head with a sigh.
Richie finally gets to see Eddie again
