—and then! they! fall! right! back! in! love!!!
Ning leaves Ryan’s life for good, and Ryan’s fine. Really. He’s got his hands full with the company he started with his best friend, so it’s not like he has time to think about Ning.
(Okay, that’s a lie.)
But he’s fine. He’s got friends and family who love him, a job he’s passionate about, and a strained, messy relationship with Chinese culture that keeps him up at night if he thinks about it too hard—but hey, at least it exists! He couldn’t say that seven years ago. What more could he ask for?
Okay, maybe he still works too much, and he’s still single, but he likes his life the way it is. He already has everything he needs. Right?
Then Ning comes back into his life, asking for Ryan’s help in promoting his newest movie, and Ryan’s not so sure anymore.
Ning goes back to China, and knows he is utterly miserable. Or how Ning copes after his failed-romance with Ryan, and how he changes after years because of it.
