It's just a retrieval operation. Quick and simple. But Bam accidentally opens a box that has been sealed for a thousand years.
Then, it's fuck or die.
The 118th floor is a sanctuary. Here nothing is allowed to decay.
“Most Regulars who come here never wish to leave this peaceful floor,” Bam suddenly quips.
Khun hums. Then, he turns to Bam, watching his expressions earnestly. “Why would they when time seems to slow here? They say that it seems to have a quality that washes away stresses and soothes aches and pains away. That encourages forgetfulness.”
“Does it tempt you?” Bam looks back, one side of his mouth lifting as if to say ‘Hey, it’s alright. I won’t judge.’ though golden irises burn with a loneliness that makes Khun’s chest ache.

Aux plus hauts niveaux de la Tour, passé le 100ème étage, la difficulté des tests augmente encore. Contrairement au 20ème étage, où les Réguliers résident durant des années, trop fatigués pour continuer, cet obstacle est appelé « le plafond de verre » de la tour.
La raison est due au népotisme (ou favoritisme, ou politique, différentes personnes nomment ça de différentes manières). Dans tous les cas, à partir du 100ème étage, il y a certains étages possédés par les 10 Grandes Familles. Et naturellement, faire partie de l’une de ces familles peut vous donner un grand avantage.
Ou, pour leurs ennemis, ces tests peuvent devenir un champ de bataille avec leurs vies en jeu.
Le 100ème étage appartient à Arie Hon.
Le 111ème étage appartient à Khun Edhan.

Khun did actually have a plan. The shape of it had felt like laughter, like he was framing this as a joke, but now a strange intensity in the room choked in his chest.
“Okay,” Khun said, trying somehow, desperately, to adhere to his plan. “Like this, too?” He pushed back up, Bam’s shirt folding and crinkling under his palms. It lifted, a triangle of skin showing right above the hem of Bam’s pants.
Bam’s eyes hadn’t left his. “Yeah,” he breathed.
