    Summary

There are many truths universally acknowledged such as the fact that a single man, in possession of a large fortune, must be in want of a wife; pink hair colour and its variants are not abnormal; self-healing wounds are commonplace and quick thinking is nothing to be afraid of. There was a time, however, when those unacknowledged truths were not only unacknowledged, but also untruths; the culprit for almost all of it, Saiki Kusuo.

    Summary

The story starts when Elizabeth and Maria are staying at the Parsonage at Hunsford. It diverges from canon when Elizabeth receives a package from her father - a copy of the new novel Sense and Sensibility. They start reading it together and this leads to insights into characters and events which had previously been misunderstood. This prevents Darcy making a disastrous proposal in Kent. The pathway is slightly different but they will get their happy ending.

Be aware that there are major plot spoilers for Sense and Sensibility if you have not already read this!

Quotations from Sense and Sensibility are put in italics and page references are from the Wordsworth Classics (1992) edition. Words quoted from Pride and Prejudice are underlined.

I can either resign myself, at eighteen, to spinsterhood. Or, I can enter into a convent and devote the remainder of my life to God. There is a third more enticing option, however...

    Summary

A modern AU wherein Darcy has recently been elected to the House of Commons, Elizabeth is in the civil service, and unsusprisingly, there is conflict.
Slight whiffs of both 'The Thick Of It' and 'Yes Minister'; and an eventual 'Darcy exiting the lake in a wet white shirt' scene, because let's be honest, that's all anyone is in this for.

Additional story and relationship tags as the story progresses. Rating due to a base level of swearing which could only be described as 'Australian'. Also because there might be some lemons later on.

Not on hiatus, I'm just really bad at updating.

    Summary

Elizabeth Bennet finds herself required to marry Mr. Collins, or else her family faces ruin. Upon receiving the onus to marry by Lady Catherine, Mr. Collins was reminded of a contract that his grandfather had given him before he passed. It promises the hand of one of Mr. Bennet’s granddaughters (should they be born) to one of Mr. Collins grandsons (should he be born), signed by our Mr. Bennet’s father. Mr. Collins has chosen our Lizzy as his bride. After being informed of the contract’s existence, Lizzy goes for a walk to Oakham Mount, and on her way, she runs into Mr. Darcy. Darcy, having successfully thwarted Wickham’s ill designs, is not so severe and unhappy. Georgiana, having been spared needing rescue, has not retreated into a shell, and as a result is more lively and communicative with her brother, especially about his happiness. We meet after the Netherfield debacle where Jane was abed, sick. Readers will remember Mr. Darcy penning a letter to his sister, but for the purposes of this story, he receives a letter back that causes some self-reflection, and causes him to think of his own happiness, which brings him back to a pair of fine eyes.

I fear I shall always be far too unfashionable to present myself as anything other than Kitty Bennet. But perhaps this journal will reveal something unknown to myself, some deeper aspect that reminds me I am more than a shallow, shy, talentless girl.

    Summary

Takes place in the 2005 film (and slight reference to the book itself), canon divergence, slight OOC.

Elizabeth and her relations arrive at Pemberley a day before Darcy arrives, and Georgiana managed to persuade them to stay overnight. Remembering the marble likeness of the man she has grown to admire, Elizabeth sneaks out to vent to it in the middle of the night to tell his likeness all she wished to tell the real Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Unbeknownst to her, the real deal happened to arrive in the middle of the night at Pemberley in order to surprise his sister and finish business with his steward and finds the girl who he can't get off his mind speaking to him... except he was not meant to hear it.

    Summary

When the house in Camden Place has a delay in availability, Sir Walter and Elizabeth opt for a visit to his other Elliot nephew. The same Elliot and his Lady whose cottage near Dartford, Robert Ferrars spoke so highly of. This tale follows the train of consequences of two of Ms. Austen's more unlikeable characters finding a kindred spirit in each other. Many larger changes for our beloved favorites come from this one meeting.

A crossover fiction covering characters from Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Pride and Prejudice.

    Summary

Sequel to VMC I. Despite Darcy's autism, Elizabeth accepted his proposal but they will face new challenges before they can marry. While the couple has help from Georgiana and Bingley (whose family is adjusting to his decision to return to the world of trade), Darcy must still win over the Gardiners (as he wishes to continue courting Elizabeth while she is in town). He must also convince Mr. Bennet to grant his permission for the marriage despite opposition from Darcy's uncle, the Earl.

The Earl has the means and determination to get his way, and those plans involve Georgiana. Can Darcy count on the Colonel (Edwin) to help him protect Georgiana? Whose side is Edwin really on?

Does someone from the Earl's past hold the key to stopping the Earl from ruining everything Darcy has worked so hard to achieve or will Darcy ultimately have to stand alone?

And what of George Wickham? What havoc will he cause and will he ever get what he deserves?
