But Dream still loved Wilbur.
So when Wilbur is resurrected by Dream, Wilbur doesn't remember anything. So Dream tells him they're lovers. Wilbur accepts this.
No one knows that Wilbur is back. Only Dream knows.
But Wilbur's family is suspecting him of having to do something with the ghost of Wilbur disappearing.

He heads up to Gravity Falls, Oregon to find answers, and along the way meets the Pines twins, although he may find more things than he expected to.
