Xie Lian had a lot to think about...
It was nothing bad! Xie Lian was just a little worried that he wasn’t doing enough for Hua Cheng and their relationship. His San Lang would never tell him if he wasn’t anyway. And it wasn’t like he didn’t want to, because he did! He just didn’t know how. He’d never been in a relationship before and he didn’t know how everything worked yet - it’s not like he had the best examples growing up. Especially when it came to…intimacy. Shouldn’t the time and effort spent on each other be equal? Xie Lian was realizing more often than not he was the one receiving more love and attention than he was giving. Surely Hua Cheng wanted that as much as he did, right?
Or: Xie Lian wants to give more to his and Hua Cheng's budding relationship, but he doesn't know where to start. He gets some help from an old friend when he stumbles upon an advice shop in Ghost City.

So with newfound vigor he hadn’t experienced in ages, he picked up that man between his fangs, as softly as he possibly could manage without losing grip, and finally headed back to his mountain peak.
The poor wild-life that he passed by as he travelled back home, were left to wonder why this fantastical-beast preened in a way that they had never seen him do before.Aka, Dragon! Hua Cheng simping and thirsting after poor, mute, traumatized Xie Lian. Comfort and fluff guaranteed.

Summary
Two generations ago, the dragons were chased out of Xianle by Xie Lian’s grandfather. As the crown prince, Xie Lian cannot stand for the actions done by his own family, and against the council’s orders decides to seek out the dragon king in the mountain, presenting him with his plans of once again becoming one people.
It goes much better than Xie Lian had expected.
