Summary
Every toon has a backstory. Often, they're fairly normal, sometimes in an alternate universe, sometimes in our own.
Some toons, however, have very bad backstories. Backstories they never want to share. Backstories that hurt, and that they wish weren't real.
One has to wonder, then, what sort of backstory toons created during a mental break would have.

____If you don't have the proper training, the longer you spend in one world, the more you forget the other. So the longer they stayed in Burbank, the more they forget about Acme Falls. But they remembered bits and pieces- they recalled who they trusted and who they didn't; that they'd come here for a reason, something to do with the fact they felt like the water tower was the closest thing to home they could get; the fact they had a family once, no matter what the studio said.
And the fact that it was in their nature to deliver justice through wild magic and hilarious wordplay.

Summary
The people of Warnerstock is struggling with the death of their King and Queen, but none so much as their two sons, Yakko and Wakko, who have difficulty dealing with the world they've been isolated from since their sister's kidnapping.
At the same time, two criminal mice steal a very valuable crown and then end up roped into taking care of a kid with a strange backstory and dark past.
And both of these stories get tangled with the tale of Dot, a young girl with mysterious golden fur, has spent her entire life in an abandoned water tower. But every year on her birthday, thousands of lanterns fly into the sky, and she's determined this year to see them for herself and discover what they mean for her.
And what happens when she figures it out? What does she, and her small chosen family, do then? And then what happens when you bring in the powers of the sun and the moon, mysterious demonic entities, and secrets waiting to be revealed?
Tangled (and possibly more...) AU but instead of romance it's like 99% found family hurt/comfort.
